MetaTaping ("MetaTaping," "we," "us") is a forensic-anchoring tool operated under url.ventures LLC. The Site at metataping.com publishes a forensic WHOIS-chain ledger, anchoring tools, and documentation for owners and counterparties of digital assets seeking tamper-evident records of custody and operating history.
Illustrative figures
Sample ledger entries, sample WHOIS-chain reconstructions, and reference figures shown on the Site are illustrative outputs of disclosed inputs. They are not warranties of any specific outcome.
No advisory relationship
Use of the Site does not create an attorney-client, broker-dealer, investment-advisory, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship between you and MetaTaping or url.ventures.
II. Terms of Service
By accessing or using metataping.com (the "Site") or engaging MetaTaping to anchor a forensic record (the "Service"), you ("you," "Owner") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Service.
The Service
The Service consists of (a) intake of disclosed records describing a digital asset's WHOIS-chain history and operating record, (b) compilation of those records into a structured forensic ledger entry, (c) anchoring of the entry's content hash to a public ledger reference where requested, and (d) delivery of the resulting MetaTape artifact to the Owner.
Owner representations
You represent and warrant that (i) you are the registered owner of the asset(s) submitted, or have written authority from the owner; (ii) records you submit are accurate to the best of your knowledge; (iii) the asset does not infringe any third-party right or violate applicable law; and (iv) you will keep contact and billing information current.
Acceptable use
- You will not use the Service to misrepresent custody, fabricate transfer records, or launder ownership of any asset.
- You will not present MetaTaping content, methodology, or sample ledgers as your own proprietary work.
- Scraping, automated harvesting, or use of Site content to train machine-learning or large-language models requires a written commercial license.
Service availability
The Site and Service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any Site feature, API endpoint, or third-party ledger or archive integration. Owners are encouraged to retain local copies of any artifact produced.
Fees
The Service is billed as a per-record fee disclosed at time of order. Ledger-anchoring riders and ongoing-monitoring riders are billed separately. Fees are payable in advance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaTaping and url.ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Our total cumulative liability is capped at the fees you have paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MetaTaping, url.ventures LLC, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claim arising out of (i) the records you submit, (ii) your breach of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Termination, governing law, severability
Either party may terminate the Service at any time on written notice; fees already paid for completed work product are non-refundable. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force and effect. Material updates are reflected in the "Effective" date above.
III. Service Scope & Forensic Limits
What a MetaTape is
- A structured, content-addressed compilation of disclosed custody, WHOIS-chain, and operating records relating to a single digital asset.
- A tamper-evident record whose content hash may, at Owner request, be anchored to a public ledger reference.
- An Owner-controlled artifact the Owner may share with counterparties at its discretion.
What a MetaTape is not
- It is not a security, a token, a fractional interest, or any tradable instrument.
- It is not a court-admissible certification on its own; it is descriptive evidence that a party may submit alongside other supporting material.
- It is not an appraisal, a price opinion, or a guarantee of market value.
- It is not a representation that the underlying records are exhaustive; it is a compilation of records as disclosed by the Owner together with publicly available supporting data.
Custody
MetaTaping does not take custody of the underlying digital asset, the registrar account, or any associated wallet or financial account. Registrant control remains entirely with the Owner. We do not modify nameservers, DNS records, or registrar settings.
/api/checkout endpoint while infrastructure is being stabilized. The legal terms in this document apply independently of that bug. If you encounter the error, use the intake form to reach us directly; we will not charge for service we cannot deliver.
IV. Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how MetaTaping collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit the Site, submit an intake form, or commission a MetaTape.
What we collect — Site visitors
- Analytics data — page views, session duration, referral source, device type, approximate geographic region, collected via Cloudflare edge analytics and/or Google Analytics 4.
- Intake-form submissions — name, email, asset identifier(s), and any notes you provide. Relayed via FormSubmit to
bcf@bottlelife.com. - Technical data — IP address, browser user-agent, operating system, and similar metadata automatically logged by the web server (Cloudflare).
What we collect — Owners commissioning a MetaTape
- WHOIS-chain and operating records you provide (registrar exports, transfer logs, archive screenshots, receipts).
- Identity confirmation sufficient to establish that you are the disclosed Owner or authorized agent.
- Billing information processed by our payment processor; we do not store full payment-card data.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral-profiling pixels on the MetaTaping site.
- We do not collect passwords or government identifiers beyond what is reasonably necessary to verify ownership.
How we use your information
- To produce, deliver, and revise the MetaTape you commission
- To verify ownership and detect fraud or abuse
- To anchor the artifact's content hash to a public ledger reference where you request it
- To respond to inquiries and comply with applicable law
Third-party processors
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, security, edge analytics (policy)
- FormSubmit — contact-form relay (policy)
- Stripe — payment processing where used (policy)
- Public-ledger references — where Owner requests ledger anchoring, the content hash (not the underlying records) is published
Your rights, retention, children, international visitors
Subject to applicable law (including CCPA and GDPR where applicable), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information. Owner records for delivered MetaTapes are retained for the engagement plus seven (7) years for audit purposes; content hashes anchored to public-ledger references persist indefinitely on those references. The Site is not directed to children under 13. International visitors' information is processed in the United States.
V. Cookie Policy
We use cookies and similar technologies on metataping.com for the following purposes:
- Essential — required for basic Site functionality (session state, security, load balancing). Set by Cloudflare.
- Analytics — aggregated usage analytics (Cloudflare edge analytics; Google Analytics 4 cookies

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings.
VI. Intellectual Property & Trademarks
All content on this Site — including the MetaTape framework, structured templates, methodology documentation, sample ledgers, logos, and dashboards — is owned by MetaTaping or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Trademarks
"MetaTaping" and related marks are trademarks of url.ventures LLC. Third-party marks referenced on the Site — including but not limited to ICANN, IANA, Verisign, GoDaddy, Spaceship, Dynadot, Cloudflare, NameBio, DNJournal, DNIB, Atom.com, Sedo, Internet Archive / Wayback Machine, and any public-ledger references the Service interacts with — are the property of their respective owners. Reference is descriptive and does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or partnership unless expressly stated.
Licensing & DMCA
Commercial use of Site content (embedding, redistribution, API access, model-training) requires a written license. DMCA notices may be sent via the contact form with the standard elements (work identified, allegedly infringing material identified, contact info, good-faith and accuracy statements, signature). We respond within ten business days.
VII. Risk & Source Disclosure
Data sources
MetaTapes may reference publicly available sources, including ICANN/IANA records, WHOIS-history archives, Internet Archive / Wayback Machine snapshots, NameBio, DNJournal, DNIB, Atom.com, public registry-tracker sites, and Owner-disclosed records. Source attribution is included where applicable.
Forensic limits
Anchoring a record to a public ledger establishes that the record's content existed in that form at the time of anchoring. It does not, on its own, establish the truth of the record's underlying assertions. Counterparties relying on a MetaTape are responsible for their own diligence.
Forward-looking statements
Statements on the Site about future product capabilities or future ledger integrations are forward-looking and based on current information. Actual results may differ materially.
